About the position

The Part-Time Retail Cashier at Goodwill of Colorado is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-stocked sales floor, and operating a point-of-sale cash register. This role involves engaging with customers, ensuring accurate transactions, and upholding company standards in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and responding to inquiries.
• Operate a point-of-sale cash register system accurately.
• Verify till counts and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
• Engage customers in the Roundup initiative to support the company's mission.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including cleaning shelves and racks.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
• Follow all retail center policies and procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail sales or cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
• Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
