Part-time Professional Development Instructor
About The Position
Bergen Community College's Division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development is seeking seasoned professionals with substantial business experience who can share valuable, real-world insights with others to join our team as part-time Professional Development Instructors. Teaching experience is not required. We welcome professionals eager to share their expertise and help others develop their skills. Relevant backgrounds may include finance, human resources, marketing, operations, or other business-related fields. Instructors teach workshops ranging from 3 to 8 hours and have the opportunity to design their own courses based on their expertise. This part-time position primarily involves virtual instruction, with occasional opportunities to teach at corporate locations throughout Bergen County. Class scheduling is flexible and can be offered during the daytime or evening. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both online and in-person formats.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- A robust background in business and leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable with traveling to and teaching at various corporate locations during the day.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Professional Development courses
- Assist with the development course materials and resources.
- Provide practical tools, techniques, and strategies that professionals can apply in their workplace.
