About The Position

The Special Education Paraprofessional works one-on-one with students receiving special education support. Assignment Information Part-Time Up to 29 Hours/Week Monday - Friday (when instruction is in session) $15.50/Hour - Starting wage is based on the current Midland Federation of Paraprofessionals Master Bargaining Agreement

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• CPR/First Aid certified (preferred; willing to be provided training)
• Proven organization and time management skills
• Dependable Attendance
• Ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from teacher
• Ability to work professionally with staff, students, parents and other providers
• Ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect
• Basic understanding of technology
• Ability to assist with personal care needs
• Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently
• Some lifting may be required
• Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral management techniques
