About The Position

Marian House is seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Overnight House Manager to help create a safe, supportive, and structured living environment for our residents. This role is central to fostering community life in the house, overseeing daily activities, guiding residents through household routines, and ensuring that meals, chores, and policies are carried out smoothly. As House Manager, you'll provide encouragement and support to residents while holding them accountable to program expectations. You will monitor the safety and security of the house, assist with groceries and household upkeep, and orient new residents to their responsibilities. You'll also keep daily shift logs, oversee visitors, and conduct urinalysis screenings when needed. At times, you may be called on outside of regular business hours to support the overall operation of the program and the well-being of the community. The ideal candidate is someone who can balance structure with compassion and who has an understanding of substance use, mental health, and trauma. Experience in a residential setting, computer literacy, and strong communication skills are essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Peer Recovery Specialist certification is strongly preferred but not required. More importantly, we're looking for someone committed to the mission of Marian House, able to engage with residents respectfully, and ready to contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations. Reliable transportation is necessary, and a valid Maryland driver's license is preferred. The role will cover 2 overnight shifts (overnight on Sundays and overnight on Tuesdays). At Marian House, we believe in the dignity of every individual and strive to build a diverse, inclusive, and healing community. If you are someone who values respect, service, and teamwork, and you want to make a real impact in people's lives, we encourage you to apply.
