Childcare - Part Time Nanny
About The Position
A lovely family in Brentwood is seeking a temporary part-time nanny for their 4-year-old, starting Monday, May 18th through Friday, June 26th. Care is needed Monday through Friday from 1:30pm to 6pm for the first three weeks. Beginning June 8th, the schedule will shift to 10am to 6pm; however, the family is open to candidates who are only available from 1:30pm to 6pm. The child enjoys trips to the park, visiting children’s museums, and playdates with friends. The family is looking for someone engaging, flexible, and comfortable with a temporary role. Start date: Monday, May 18th End date: Friday, June 26th Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30pm to 6pm Beginning June 8th: Monday–Friday, 10am to 6pm (flexible) Compensation: $30 per hour + gas reimbursement
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience
- CPR certified, or willingness to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
- Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
- Reliable vehicle to transport child
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record & valid auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Engaging with the child
- Driving the child to activities, including preschool pick-ups, park visits, and swim lessons (all within ~4 minutes)
- Providing snacks and light meals; ordering dinner as needed
