About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines used in snow throwers, lawn mowers, and other outdoor power equipment. You'll ensure that each machine operates safely, efficiently, and meets customer expectations.

Requirements

Previous experience repairing or maintaining small engines (preferred)
Strong understanding of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engine systems
Ability to use diagnostic tools and basic hand/power tools
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues in small engines
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups
Repair and replace defective parts (carburetors, starters, belts, blades, etc.)
Sharpen blades and adjust cutting systems for peak performance
Test equipment for proper operation before and after service
Maintain clean and organized work area
Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time
Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service when explaining repairs
