The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is currently recruiting a part-time instructor to teach Introduction to Political Science. This course is intended to contribute to curricular content that fulfills the General Education Requirements and aligns with NJIT's Strategic Plan 2030. The course will provide students with a fundamental grounding in the principles of political science, including power, authority, and legitimacy. Also essential will be consideration of governmental organizations and institutions, the role of political parties and interest groups, electoral politics and voting behavior, and international relations. The integration of experiential educational opportunities would be an important advantage. The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is a broadly interdisciplinary community of researchers and educators that encourages current pedagogy consistent with the aims of a technologically intensive university.
