The Denver Post, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is seeking a part-time inserter to assist in achieving deadlines and accuracy of advance packaged products for all printed material prepared for USPS, Commercial Clients, and the Denver Post Circulation Department produced at The Denver Post Washington Facility Mailroom. What you will do: Physically handle & collate products in the Mailroom to include: Advance inhouse printed material, outside customer preprints, mail labels, adhesive post it notes, and all pieces scheduled for prepackaging, either by hand or using mailroom equipment, to achieve on-time and accurate production of prepackaged bundles for all local and National publications Utilize mailroom equipment accurately & safely, to ensure goals of quality are met during the collation process, to include: Clearing jams, restarting equipment; recovering untied bundles; straightening bundles; removing spoils, checking bundle counts to ensure product integrity according to manifesting, & automatically or manually stack packaged product onto pallets for shipping Prior to and during collation- jogging of products as necessary to avoid jamming, counting bundles using scales, tying bundles either by hand or by using automatic tying machines, application of adhesive post it notes & mail labels for USPS, and all other packaging duties assigned to provide completed packages Move final palletized products using power equipment – dolly or forklift- to ensure product is set up in the proper location for shipping in a timely manner, according to manifesting scheduled
