About The Position

The Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator supports the organization’s people and mission through accurate data management, confidential recordkeeping, and people-centered HR support. This position is responsible for maintaining employee and candidate data, supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, and providing reliable administrative support to the Human Resources department. This role requires discretion, accuracy, and a collaborative approach when working with employees, applicants, and leadership. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-driven professional who takes pride in accuracy, discretion, and dependable follow-through. They are service-minded and people-centered, with a genuine interest in supporting employees, candidates, and leaders through responsive, confidential, and ethical HR practices. Comfortable managing data and records with precision, this individual thrives in collaborative environments and is eager to learn and grow within a full-scope HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits support, and compliance. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or a related field, OR Two years of experience in Human Resources, administrative support, or a data-focused role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee and candidate records in the HRIS and Applicant Tracking System, including data entry, audits, personnel files, and organizational charts.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with a high level of confidentiality and ensure HR records and processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Provide people-centered HR support by monitoring the HR inbox, responding to routine inquiries, and supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including I-9 documentation.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, employee communications, and annual open enrollment activities, with guidance.
  • Support recruitment and talent processes, including job postings, candidate tracking, interview documentation, and seasonal staff hiring and onboarding.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and organizational initiatives by coordinating recognition programs, assisting with All Staff meetings, and collaborating across departments to support an inclusive, mission-aligned workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Human Resources team and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the council, GSUSA staff, and colleagues from other councils.
  • Actively participate in all-staff meetings, staff in-service training, and other meetings.
  • When representing the council to both internal and external audiences, articulate GSRV’s desired image and position to all audiences.
  • Actively support the council’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, racial justice, and anti-racism.
  • Conduct all activities with a high degree of cultural competency.
  • Contribute to building a cohesive, flexible, and productive staff environment that demonstrates the values and mission of Girl Scouts and delivers high-quality customer service.
