Requirements

Minimum of High School education
Minimum of one (1) year in similar role preferred
Team player
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively verbally
Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Deliver a warm, engaging, and authentic Irish pub welcome to every guest from the moment they arrive
Manage the flow of the dining room by coordinating seating, managing waitlists, and optimizing table turns while maintaining a positive guest experience
Greet guests with enthusiasm, accurately quote wait times, and communicate delays or changes with transparency and professionalism
Maintain a strong awareness of the dining room, bar, and patio to ensure balanced seating and efficient service
Escort guests to tables while presenting menus and highlighting specials or promotions when appropriate
Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and leadership to support seamless service and overall pub operations
Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and assist with guest inquiries both in person and over the phone
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entryway, and surrounding areas to ensure a polished first impression
Monitor guest needs while they are waiting, offering updates and maintaining an inviting and energetic atmosphere
Assist with light support tasks including resetting tables, running food, or supporting service flow during peak periods
Contribute to a team culture rooted in camaraderie, accountability, and hospitality excellence
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall pub operations
