SUMMARY: A hotel Gardener maintains the aesthetic curb appeal of hotel landscapes, ensuring lush, vibrant greenery. Responsibilities include planting, pruning, watering, and general upkeep of gardens, lawns and other outdoor spaces
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in gardening or landscaping
- Knowledge of plant care and maintenance
- Ability to operate and maintain garden equipment, such as lawnmowers and trimmers
- Physical fitness to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure a clean and well-maintained garden area
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and other hotel staff
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the job.
Responsibilities
- Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees in the hotel garden
- Mow and edge lawns, trim hedges, and remove weeds
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment
- Monitor and control pests and diseases in the garden
- Coordinate with the hotel management and other staff to ensure the garden is attractive and well-maintained
- Ensure the garden area is clean and free of debris
- Assist with outdoor event set-up and decoration
- Perform other gardening-related duties as assigned by the supervisor
