During the Part-time Finance Internship, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience and contribute to real-world projects in one or more of the following areas including; Corporate Cash Management, Employee Benefits Fund Management, Foreign Exchange/Commodities Risk Management, Corporate Funding, Accounts Receivables or Supplier Finance. As a finance intern, you will perform the same tasks as our Entry Level Finance Analysts. Role Definition Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of an operating unit.

Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a degree at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following programs: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related Technology field, at the time of application and throughout the program.
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Finance GPA & Cumulative GPA).
  • 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university prior to the start of the internship.
  • If a transfer student must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university.

  • Financial Markets: Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Communicating Complex Concepts: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations

Responsibilities

  • Responding to inquiries and contacting other departments or vendors to resolve a variety of problems.
  • Posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems.
  • Upon request, take part in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP.
