About The Position

This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short-term and/or part-time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for two (or more) part-time, faculty wage (non-tenure eligible) positions in our Information Technology & Innovation Area beginning in August 2026. Each position will teach 3-9 credit hours in the 2026-27 academic year, in one or more of the following topics: Project and Product Management Digital Skills for the Workplace Managing Innovation The McIntire School of Commerce Established in 1921, The McIntire School of Commerce (www.commerce.virginia.edu), is a college of the University of Virginia, one of the highest ranked public universities in the United States. Requirements

  • A master's degree in Business or a closely-related field is required; a Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Industry or educational experience in the Information Technology field is required; previous experience teaching in a higher education setting is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative team skills and the desire to work in a dynamic environment that stresses teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning.

Nice To Haves
