As we enter a growth phase, The Historic Crags Lodge is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Operator to join our team of professionals. Rebranding and creating an environment of excellence in the luxury resort space, this role is crucial to the success and future of Crags Lodge under the flagship of VIVAMEE Hospitality. Our Facilities Department ensures an exceptional experience for our guests by maintaining the unique beauty of our property, inside and out. As a Facilities Operator, you will be responsible for the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of hotel systems and equipment. Our Facilities Operators are thorough professionals who maintain the hotel, common areas, and grounds while ensuring our internal systems run seamlessly. Working collaboratively with the Facilities Manager and other hotel staff to deliver a superior guest experience, our ideal candidate is ambitious and wants to grow within the organization. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • 2 + years of experience working as a maintenance technician or relevant background.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions/changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Ability to effectively interact with different personality types.
  • Capable of working independently and with a team.
  • Adaptable to changing schedules and priorities, motivated to work autonomously.
  • Adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a maintenance capacity in a hotel or relevant hospitality background preferred.
  • Construction/electrical/plumbing certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values.
  • Ensure fulfillment of preventative maintenance program to specific brand standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms after preventative maintenance. Review any problems with relevant departments and recheck the room/suite before releasing it to Housekeeping/Front Office.
  • Maintain a current inventory of all supplies.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with appropriate party/department upon completion of tasks.
  • Help to repair HVAC as required.
  • Assist with room repairs and light carpentry.
  • Repair appliances as required.
  • Ensure routine preventive maintenance on equipment is done, including, but not limited to laundry equipment, heating, and air condition units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, fire equipment, and plumbing in accordance with warranty specifications.
  • Maintain the hotel grounds; curb appeal and building exteriors consistently.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
  • Ensure VIVAMEE values are apparent and implemented in all team and customer interactions.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to company-established policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks as required by the management.
