About The Position

The Part-time Employee Assistance Program Counselor will support the Environmental Safety, Health, and Mission Assurance (ESHMA) contract located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Requirements

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
  • This position requires a master's degreein the field of social science, psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or related field with 5+ years of recent and related experience. In-lieu of a master's degree, candidates with a bachelor's degree in the fields mentioned above with 10+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
  • Be licensed and certified in the State of Ohio for provided services.
  • Have proven knowledge and expertise about human behavior and mental health applicable to productivity in the workplace and be familiar with EAP requirements and all EAP-related laws and regulations.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
  • All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check and some positions require clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.
  • All Bastion employees must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and are required to participate in periodic random drug and alcohol screenings.
  • All of Bastion's employees must be team players with strong work ethics and must be culture oriented.
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the EAP in accordance with the latest published edition of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) Standards and Professional Guidelines for Employee Assistance Programs and the NASA procedural requirements.
  • Provide employees and dependents referrals for outside treatment or other community resources as appropriate.
  • Provide confidential counseling that are limited in scope to brief, solution-focused counseling sessions for a specific case in accordance with NASA Procedural Requirement (NPR) 1800.1D, and Office of the Chief Health and Medical Officer, Employee Mental Health Resources & Information/EAP.
  • Document case files in required database.
  • Provide support/response services to the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Program.
  • Provide or assist in outreach programs or Agency EAP programs.
  • Provide annual trending information for Agency self-assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
