About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Driver to transport our residents to medical appointments, outings, and other destinations. As a Driver at the Sunshine Terrace Foundation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents. You will be an essential part of our team, providing support to our elderly residents, who may have mobility challenges.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Prior experience as a driver, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and patience when working with elderly residents.
• Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and other scheduled destinations.
• Assist residents with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, including regular inspections and maintenance.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of all passengers and pedestrians.
• Maintain a friendly and compassionate attitude, offering support and companionship to residents during transit.
• Communicate effectively with the facility staff to ensure a smooth and organized transportation schedule.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents.
