This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of District Court by performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to civil, criminal, traffic, probation, and administrative proceedings. In this role, you will help ensure court processes run smoothly by supporting judges, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and members of the public while maintaining accurate records and coordinating key court functions. What You’ll Do • Perform clerical and administrative duties related to civil, criminal, traffic, probation, and administrative court proceedings. • Provide professional assistance and information to the public, attorneys, and law enforcement personnel regarding court procedures and case-related matters. • Prepare notices of hearings to ensure proper scheduling of court dates and probation appointments. • Coordinate schedules among judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and police personnel to facilitate efficient court operations. • Receive and process fines, costs, fees, bonds, and civil escrow payments, accurately recording transactions through a computerized cash register system. • Prepare juror summons and process pay vouchers for juror attendance. • Work with defendants to review financial status and approve payment schedules or alternative payment arrangements, advising judges when appropriate. • Assist with the preparation of reports and support special projects as assigned. • Operate office technology and court systems including a cash register, personal computer, mainframe computer system, CLEMIS, and LEIN functions. • Utilize countywide and department-specific software systems to complete assignments and maintain accurate records. Requirements

  • High school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development Test.

Nice To Haves

  • Have at least three (3) years full-time experience in a court system or comparable qualifications that meet the Court Administrator's approval.
  • Have knowledge of and experience in the operations, policies, and procedures of a district court.
  • Familiar with current word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and Internet software.
