About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a part‑time Registered Dietitian to support inpatient nutrition care across MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The Dietitian will work an average of 16–20 hours per week with required availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with flexible 4‑ or 8‑hour shifts and participation in the weekend rotation. New graduates or experienced dietitians encouraged to apply! Salary listed is the full‑time annual rate and will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, licensed in MD (or eligible to obtain)
  • Maintain required competencies, skills, and continuing education to support professional practice
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work required days (Mon/Tue/Thu) with flexible scheduling
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for a variety of patients
  • Provide coverage every 7th weekend (8-hour shifts each day)
  • Develop and implement individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) care plans
  • Exercise order‑writing privileges
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate, timely documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing, therapy, and wound care specialists
  • Provide patient and family education related to nutrition, healing, chronic conditions, and wellness
  • Support departmental quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and best practice initiatives
