About The Position
The YMCA is seeking a dependable Cook to manage daily kitchen operations for our Child Development Academy. This role ensures children receive nutritious meals in a safe, clean, and organized environment.
Requirements
- 18+ years old with High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months related experience
- Safe Serve & Food Handler Certification
- CPR/First Aid (within 45 days of hire)
- Pass Georgia background check
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals and snacks following state nutrition guidelines
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety compliance
- Manage food inventory and ordering
- Complete required CACFP and GA Pre-K documentation
- Ensure compliance with state health and childcare licensing regulations
- Support YMCA events and uphold our values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility
