Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Cheesemonger prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Cheesemonger has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eataly’s guests. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Basic math skills
Basic knife skills
Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, packaging machinery and a cash register

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
Cleans work station thoroughly
Performs other duties as required or assigned
