About The Position

Lorain County Community College (LCCC) invites applications for a Part-Time
Career and Academic Advisement Professional to join our dynamic School and
Community Partnerships team.

In this impactful role, you’ll help shape the academic journeys of local
students by connecting them with opportunities at LCCC — including associate
degrees, career-technical certificates, dual enrollment programs, and
baccalaureate/graduate offerings through our University Partnership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong communication and presentation abilities
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours for outreach activities
• Proficiency with computer applications and data analysis

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with student information systems such as PeopleSoft or Oracle

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive academic and career advising to current and prospective students
• Recruit and engage students through community outreach and collaborative initiatives
• Develop and implement guided pathways and academic programs tailored to diverse learner needs
• Create and deliver research-based programs and services to support college readiness and success
• Collaborate with K–12 educators, counselors, and administrators to align efforts and enhance student outcomes
• Partner closely with College Credit Plus, College Tech Prep, Enrollment, Career and Financial Services teams, faculty, and the University Partnership office
