The Part-time Bloodmobile Driver with CDL position in Bethlehem supports MKBC by facilitating successful blood drives within our community. The anticipated hourly wage starts at $17.29/hr and is commensurate with experience. Requirements

  • CDL A or B and DOT Medical card required, and experience driving a box truck or larger vehicle preferred.
  • The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) to engage donors and employees of all backgrounds.
  • Strong work ethic including attendance, trust, flexibility, and reliability.
  • A passion to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities to meet the needs of the blood center.
  • This position reports directly to the Collections Logistics Supervisor in the Collections Department and will be located at our Reading center. To best meet the needs of our donors and community, this position works a variable schedule which may include: Part-time coverage approximately 3-4 days per week with potential start time between 4am-10am (schedule coverage depending on blood drives and the needs of the team) Weekend rotation

Responsibilities

  • Loading vehicles with necessary supplies, driving to blood drive locations, set up and assist with the blood drive, then pack up, return to the blood center and unload equipment.
  • Greeting and assisting donors, visitors, and clients in a friendly yet professional manner.
  • Providing accurate information, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and respectfully.
  • Completing vehicle and blood drive documentation in accordance with our company's standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including training, becoming familiar with new/updated SOP's, and assisting with special projects as needed.
