The Part-Time Bi-lingual Information Services Specialist provides outreach, information and referrals through the GA AIDS & STI InfoLine to individuals throughout the State of Georgia and nationally, in both Spanish and English. This position assists individuals in a client-centered manner, with accurate facts on HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections. A compassionate and non-judgmental professional is culturally sensitive to the needs and concerns of the caller, who may be in crisis. The specialist creates an atmosphere whereby the caller feels comfortable and empowered to take action to test, receive counseling, medical care and treatment or other social services for himself/herself or a loved one.
