About The Position

The University of Tampa Men’s Soccer has an opening for a Part Time Assistant Coach, Men's Soccer . This position reports to the Head Coach.

Requirements

• Strong soccer background in playing, coaching, and evaluating. USSF GK License recommended but not required.
• Strong interest and commitment to student/athlete development.
• Ability to work with fellow coaching personnel.
• Ability to communicate on and off field requirements to student-athletes.
• Available to meet time requirements.
• Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Nice To Haves

• USSF GK License recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Train and development of UTAMPA men’s soccer goal keepers.
• Assist with recruiting, player evaluation and the player selection process.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting practices.
• Assist with pre-game preparation.
• Assist with the operation of the team during the games.
• Assist with scouting and evaluation of opponents.
• Assist with the development of players on and off the field.
• Assist with video breakdown and preparation for matches.
• Submit a year-end report to the head coach containing player observations.
• Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
• Contribute to the success and growth of UTampa Athletic department.
• Contribute to the success and growth of UTAMPA.
• Weekly practices and/or games; approximately 2-3 hours in duration.
• Weekly game/practice preparation; usually 1-2 hours in duration.
• Games/SSC & NCAA Tournaments (home and away).
• Attend team/association meetings as required.
• Check emails and answer any enquiries in a timely fashion, approximately 2 hours a week.
