About The Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist Adult Education instructor with students completing Career Readiness and WAGE™ curriculum and GED preparation coursework and assessments.

Requirements

High school diploma

Responsibilities

Conduct small group or individual classroom activities based on pre-developed instructor lessons.
Assist with instruction and supervision of students in the classroom.
Maintain and retain supplies and equipment purchased for use in completing classroom responsibilities.
Participate in or complete required staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
Provide documentation of professional development records as requested by the director.
Foster collegiality & teambuilding among staff; participate actively in the decision-making process.
Collaborate with the director/staff to recognize student excellence and achievement.
Maintain a classroom environment in which learners actively participate and show respect for one another.
Use technology to instruct students, submit online training, and to retrieve student data and scores.
Assist with routine classroom record keeping.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and serve on committees as assigned.
Recruit students from local areas to enroll in Adult Education.
Recruit business and industry leaders from local areas to support the UAHT Adult Education program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
