About The Position

SOS Personnel is recruiting experienced, compassionate Adult Support Paraprofessionals to support students with mild to severe disabilities in Christina School District schools. ⚠️ Please Note: This position is contingent upon SOS Personnel being awarded the Christina School District Adult Support Paraprofessional contract. Qualified candidates will be pre-screened and placed in our priority hiring pool pending contract award. 💼 Position Overview Adult Support Paraprofessionals will: Work directly with students under teacher supervision Support implementation of IEP goals and Behavior Support Plans Utilize positive behavior interventions and de-escalation techniques Maintain close supervision to ensure student safety Assist with academic engagement and data collection Support students during transitions, community activities, and non-instructional times Assist with self-care tasks (toileting, feeding, transfers) if assigned This role may involve working with students with autism, emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, medically fragile needs, and severe behavioral challenges. This is not a general classroom aide role — it requires emotional resilience, professionalism, and experience in structured educational settings. 💰 Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on credentials and experience. Full-time and part-time opportunities anticipated. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher (GPA 2.0+), OR 60 college credits, OR ParaPro Assessment score of 459+
  • Eligible for DEEDS Paraprofessional Certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pass criminal background check, child protection registry clearance, and drug screening
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with students with disabilities strongly preferred.
