About The Position

Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our team. This role involves working with our senior residents to facilitate recreational therapy and activities during weekends. The ideal candidate will have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors through engaging and meaningful activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a recreational or activities role, preferably with seniors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Flexible schedule, with availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing recreational activities for senior residents.
• Support residents in participating in various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement.
• Collaborate with the activities team to develop new programs that cater to the interests and needs of residents.
• Maintain a clean and organized activity space, ensuring all materials are readily available.
