Dates 6-1-26 to 8-20-26. This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Candidates may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university. A number of DCR parks in the Central Region do not have a web page or have a webpage that needs updating. The intern will collect information for Resource Management Plans, staff interviews, and site visits to develop web pages for various parks. While travel is not a requirement, the ability to visit the various park would be key for the ability to provide a quality end product.

  • Ability to take existing information and summarize in an interesting public web page.
  • Ability to work independently to collect the needed information.

Responsibilities

  • Review the RMPs and provide a thumb park description.
  • Interview DCR staff for their information and input.
  • Perform site visits to confirm details and take representative pictures of the park.
  • Draft web page information for approval to be added to the DCR web page.
