About The Position

The City of Tolleson is seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Part-time Recreation Program Assistant (Parks & Recreation Aide). The Recreation Program Assistant is responsible for recreational and specialized programmatic support as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and follow instructions; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
Must have a Valid Arizona Class D Driver's License and a Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Level 1 required.
Candidates must be available to work afternoons starting after 3 PM, as well as nights and weekends

Nice To Haves

First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting in planning recreational activities for the community
Identifying engaging activities for patrons of various ages and interests
Monitoring program participants during activities for safety and engagement level
Preparing, setting up, inspecting, and cleaning equipment and activity location before activities
Properly stores equipment after activity
Assisting running a routine program, such as after-school program
Ensuring participants have a safe and fun environment and experience
Performs related work as assigned
