About The Position

We are seeking Seasonal Parks Maintenance Workers to support the Parks and Cemetery Department for the 2026 season. This role involves maintaining parks, cemeteries, and public facilities, assisting with landscaping and maintenance tasks, operating equipment, and helping prepare park areas for public use and recreation programs.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work and heavy manual labor
• Ability to safely operate basic maintenance equipment
• Basic computer skills for simple record keeping
• 18.00

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, cemeteries, and public grounds , including mowing, weed control, and landscaping
• Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns
• Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, tractors, chainsaws, and light trucks
• Perform basic building and grounds maintenance including painting, repairs, and cleanup
• Assist with facility setup for recreation programs and events
• Remove litter and dispose of waste from buildings and park grounds
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal maintenance
• Help with construction and improvement of park facilities
