Vermont State Parks has a rare opening at our maintenance shop in Marshfield for a qualified maintenance technician. Incumbents perform skilled trades work involving construction, structural maintenance, and repair of buildings, grounds, and utilities such as water and sewage systems for approximately 3 developed state parks, and 4 remote parks. The use of a variety of construction and mechanical tools, small equipment and vehicles is typical. Lifting heavy weights (up to 75lbs.) is typical. Manual dexterity and strict adherence to safety precautions are needed to operate equipment and use tools. Some evening or overtime work may be necessary.
