We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parking Lot Attendant to support weekend fleet and parking lot operations. This role is responsible for maintaining an organized and safe lot, completing truck inspections, assisting with dispatch support, and ensuring all trucks are properly checked in/out with accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, can perform physical tasks throughout the shift, and communicates effectively with crews and operations staff.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • 1 year of experience in operations, dispatch, logistics, or fleet maintenance preferred
  • CDL preferred
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical labor for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting trucks and documenting conditions
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical skills and willingness to learn simple fleet repairs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using checklists, inspection forms, and reporting tools (paper or digital)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of all available trucks throughout the day.
  • Conduct return inspections and generate reports on truck condition after jobs are completed.
  • Verify trucks return with the correct materials and report any missing items, damages, or issues.
  • Inform crew members of expectations to return trucks in clean condition.
  • Facilitate communication between shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate reporting.
  • Perform basic fleet repair and maintenance tasks as needed (ex: replacing mirrors, installing plates, etc.) and remain open to learning additional skills.
  • Drive company trucks to and from repair shops when needed.
  • Assist with loading and disposing of parking lot garbage and disposal items (boxes, paper, furniture, etc.) and keeping it clean and organized.
  • Monitor material disposal processes to minimize waste.
  • Maintain clear access throughout the parking lot, including entrances and driving lanes, preventing obstruction to others.
