About The Position

The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing parking regulations and ordinances to ensure safe, efficient, and accessible use of parking spaces and facilities. This position patrols assigned areas, issues citations for violations, assists the public with parking information, and reports hazards or maintenance needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with the public
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to de-escalate situations and handle confrontational interactions calmly and professionally
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, in various weather conditions
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed
• Comfortable performing foot patrol and driving patrols throughout assigned areas

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in customer service, security, law enforcement, or municipal operations (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor parking compliance.
• Provide courteous assistance and information to the public regarding parking rules, locations, and payment options
• Observe and report hazardous conditions, malfunctioning meters, or damaged signage
