About The Position

The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations throughout designated areas. This role supports safe, fair, and consistent parking operations while providing excellent customer service to the public. Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday | 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Basic technology skills (handheld devices, mobile apps, reporting systems)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle conflict professionally and calm
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry equipment as needed
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot to monitor parking activity
• Enforce parking regulations by issuing citations for violations
• Observe and document violations accurately using handheld devices or ticketing systems
• Provide clear, courteous information to customers regarding parking rules, payment options, and enforcement procedures
• Assist customers with pay stations, mobile payment platforms, and general parking inquiries
• Report malfunctioning meters, pay stations, or signage issues
• Utilize body cameras and follow all departmental policies and procedure
