About The Position

A DECC Traffic Director & Parking Attendant will guide event parkers to open parking spaces as well as monitor the DECC parking lot and ramp for capacity. They will assist with the setup of the DECC parking lot before and after events. This can include setting up flag lines and signage. This position will also work in the parking booth, accept payments, and make sales transactions.

Requirements

• High level of customer service
• Ability to adapt to change, delays, or unexpected events
• Ability to resolve problems and manage difficult situations as needed
• Ability to move quickly and safely throughout the parking lot and ramp
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Successful completion of reference checks
• Successful completion of a background check
• Successful completion of a drug test, if applicable

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of traffic directing
• 1+ year of customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Provide clear vocal and physical instructions to drivers
• Exhibit excellent customer service
• Enforce lot and ramp rules, such as maintaining fire lanes
• Set up parking lot with cones, flag lines, and signage
• Handle cash and payment cards while working within the parking booth
• Monitor the parking lot and ramp during busy events and provide updates on capacity
