The Parking Attendant at Copper Mountain is most often the first face our guest's see in the morning and the staff that ensures everyone exits the resort in an organized manner at the end of a long busy day. Parking attendants typically begin their workday before the sun has even crested the Ten Mile Range. Expect many long, cold, mornings waiting for the sun to rise. Expect to spend the majority of your day on your feet. It is important to remember that your position contributes to the guest's first impression of Copper Mountain. You will need to maintain a working knowledge of the resort's weather conditions, snow reports, base area locations, and special events. In addition to directing traffic and parking cars in the larger free lots, you will assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor areas for which the base operations department is responsible. Operate the tools and equipment of the department in a safe, efficient and effective manner in order to complete all assignments and duties. Throughout your workday practice good housekeeping in your workstations and maintain all equipment, vehicles, and tools in addition to picking up trash in the parking lots and base areas. Please be advised that Copper Mountain is a dynamic resort environment. You must be flexible with your schedule and be willing to work weekends, holidays, long hours, and overtime at a moment's notice. It is the responsibility of the parking attendants to alleviate congestion in the Village and direct traffic out of the lots and onto Hwy 91 at the end of the day. You must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a written test to obtain a flagger certification card.
