About The Position

SUMMARY: The Park Service Assistant Manager supports the daily oversight of park cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and guest-ready environment. This role assists with supervising Park Service Supervisors and Associates while ensuring established cleaning standards are consistently met across all park areas. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in scheduling, training, quality assurance, and operational execution while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health department requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Manage the overall operations of the Park Service department, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are consistently met Supervise, support, and provide direction to Park Service Supervisors and Associates Create and manage staff schedules to meet operational demands efficiently Manage park service timesheets and payroll submission. Track labor usage and operational expenses related to park services to ensure budget compliance Prepare and submit a weekly report to the Operations Manager, including labor data, operational expenses, and invoice totals Oversee daily execution of cleaning programs, including restroom sanitation, park-wide cleaning, pool vacuuming, soft washing, and pressure washing Conduct routine inspections and quality assurance checks of all park service areas and address deficiencies promptly Lead training and onboarding of new employees, including proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and equipment operation Monitor safe storage, labeling, and usage of chemicals and cleaning equipment Respond to guest concerns related to cleanliness and sanitation in a professional and timely manner Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, and equipment malfunctions to appropriate departments Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure park readiness for daily operations Support documentation requirements, including cleaning logs, inspections, incident reports, and training records Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to supervisors and associates Lead by example by assisting with hands-on cleaning and operational support during peak times or staffing shortages Collaborate with other departments to support overall park operations and special events Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to departmental processes, efficiency, and guest satisfaction Oversee employee morale, including planning and executing team-building events, recognition programs, and incentives designed to promote a high-level of employee morale. Conduct weekly Park Services Leadership meeting to review performance, communicate priorities, discuss operational updates, and plan for improvements in guest services and team efficiency Monitor and enforce strict adherence to all company safety protocols and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards among subordinate staff by conducting regular audits and taking immediate corrective action when violations occur. Perform additional managerial or operational duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Tennessee Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
