OPENINGS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS: Boyertown Area Senior High School: 7:48am - 2:48pm Autistic Support Paraprofessional 1:1 Autistic Support Paraprofessional Emotional Support Paraprofessional Life Skills Support Paraprofessional 1:1 Learning Support Paraprofessional Middle School East: 7:15am - 2:15pm Emotional Support Paraprofessional Middle School West: 7:40am - 2:40pm Learning Support Paraprofessional OPENINGS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: Boyertown Elementary School: 8:25am - 3:25pm 1:1 Learning Support Paraprofessional Colebrookdale Elementary School: Autistic Support Paraprofessionals Gilbertsville Elementary School: 8:25am - 3:25pm 5th Grade Learning Support Paraprofessional Intervention Paraprofessional Learning Support Paraprofessional New Hanover Elementary School: 8:25am - 3:25pm 1:1 Learning Support Paraprofessionals Washington Elementary School: 8:25am - 3:25pm Learning Support Paraprofessional Life Skills Support Paraprofessional 1:1 Life Skills Support Paraprofessional SUMMARY: Hourly Paraprofessional pay rates: $18 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to specialized classroom: Autistic, Emotional, Life Skills Support (effective 10/13/25) $16 per hour for Paraprofessional assigned to Learning Support, 1:1, Intervention The Paraprofessional position will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 6.5 paid hours per day on full school days (scheduled 7 hours/day with a 1/2 hr unpaid lunch break). Paraprofessionals will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support. PTO: Employees assigned to work 30 hours or more hours per day for a full 5-day work week are eligible for 8 PTO days (prorated based on hire date).

Requirements

  • High school diploma and completion of Paraprofessional competency training OR Two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits), Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree
  • Paid clearances & TB screening! (Clearances current within 12 months)
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts

Nice To Haves

  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans.
  • Reinforcing learning concepts and skills.
  • Working with students individually or in small groups.
  • Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress.
  • Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Supervising students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas.
  • Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal.
