About The Position

This is a substitute position. Applicants will need transcripts showing they have complete 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours, or their Praxis Parapro exam results. Please attach documents in your application. KCSD does not offer the Praxis Parapro exam on a regular basis to the general public. If you are interested in taking the Praxis Parapro exam, please refer to the ETS website for more information about dedicated testing facilities and alternative testing methods. http://www.ets.org/praxis Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the district’s communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets. Responsibilities include student safety and security.

Requirements

• Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations.
• Work within the district’s communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets.
• Responsibilities include student safety and security.
• Must uphold the moral character as required of teachers.
• Must maintain confidentiality when associated with the Klamath County School District.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

• Specific assistance in the transporting of students with special needs.
• Prompt and appropriate decision making in an emergency situation.
• Assist the Bus Driver in any capacity.
• Ability to assist the bus driver in providing a safe, well organized, smoothly functioning bus environment in the transporting of student(s) with special needs.
• Ability to work with children, parents and school personnel. Must uphold the moral character as required of teachers.
• Must maintain confidentiality when associated with the Klamath County School District.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Additional duties as assigned by Transportation Supervisor, Bus Driver or Designee.
