We are currently seeking paraprofessionals who will provide support to preschool students with developmental disabilities. This role involves assisting with academic tasks, daily living skills, mobility, communication, behavior regulation, and personal care. The paraprofessional will work closely with certified teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the student can access the general education curriculum in an inclusive and supportive environment. This position requires the candidate to: Provide individualized instructional and behavioral support under the direction of the classroom and special education teacher. Support communication, including use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, visual schedules, and other tools. Assist with self-care tasks such as toileting, feeding, and dressing, maintaining the student's dignity and independence. Promote positive social interactions between the student and peers. Implement strategies and accommodations outlined in the student's IEP or 504 plan. Collect data on student progress and behavior as requested by teaching or therapy staff. Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable school and district policies. Participate in training sessions and professional development relevant to the role.
