About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking to add a Paramedic to our Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center South located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity. At Baptist Health, a Paramedic in the Emergency Department plays a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring timely, compassionate service during critical moments. The Paramedic works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist with patient assessments, treatment, and documentation in a fast-paced hospital environment. Requirements
- An active Florida Paramedic license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Paramedic Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
- Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
- Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree
- Incident Command system (ICS) 300, 400 Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting RNs in providing care to patients with urgent and emergent healthcare needs.
- Supporting activities of daily living and maintaining a safe patient environment.
- Collecting and labeling lab specimens accurately.
- Monitoring and recording patient intake and output.
- Documenting all patient care and observations in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.
