About The Position

This individual will function as a team member providing care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed wing aircraft. They will be responsible for maintaining the readiness of equipment, ensuring the availability of supplies, and completing all related paperwork. The successful candidate should have a strong desire to expand their knowledge of pediatric and neonatal patients and be able to apply that knowledge effectively in the transport environment. Key personal attributes include being self-motivated, highly organized, possessing strong customer service and communication skills, and demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years ALS experience for flight paramedics
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience for an EMT-P/LP
  • A plan to assess and document the competency and proficiency of the provider to perform in the critical care medical transport environment
  • Current Texas Certification or Licensure as a Paramedic
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Texas Drivers License and Auto Liability Insurance
  • ACLS Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
  • PALS Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
  • NRP Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
  • Stable Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
  • TNCC (audit within 6 months of employment, every 4 years thereafter)
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C) within 2 years
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (during orientation, every 3 years thereafter)
