About The Position

IES Safety, LLC is currently recruiting experienced Part-Time Fire Fighter / Paramedics to join our Emergency Response Team for our in-plant contract at Continental Tire located in Clinton, MS. Flexible schedule, Part-time / 12-hour shifts. Position Responsibilities: Respond to fires and a variety of emergencies, including hazardous materials incidents, rescues, natural disasters, and other emergency situations; suppresses and extinguishes fires, and performs related life and property protection Identifies, isolates, and contains hazardous materials in a safe and effective manner Drives emergency vehicles as needed and operates related apparatus to respond to emergency calls. Administering basic first aid and medical support, in accordance with federal, state, local, and company policy and regulations Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures Effectively communicating with the client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc. Demonstrating a strong orientation towards teamwork and the ability to understand the importance of team-coordinated efforts Demonstrating a strong ability to be aware of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards Ensuring that quality clinical standards are practiced at all times Assists in completing and maintaining records related to personnel, incidents, and/or other related items. Assists the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the safest and most secure work environment possible Participates in ongoing training and education sessions Ensures the proper condition, maintenance, and appearance of apparatus and equipment; prepares and ensures vehicles and apparatus are ready for immediate response Participates in the daily functions of the station duties, which may include: housekeeping, maintenance activities, and/or performing other related duties Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity. Firefighter I (required), Firefighter II (preferred) State Certified
Previous EMT/Paramedic experience
Flexible schedule: Days, Nights, Weekend availability required
Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Any additional certifications are a plus
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees
Must be 21 years of age or older – insurability requirements, Homeland Security Background Check
Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing / Post-employment random Drug & Alcohol Testing
Pre-Employment DOT Physical / Post-employment DOT Physical (frequency determined by expiration of medical certificate)

Nice To Haves

Firefighter II (preferred) State Certified
Any additional certifications are a plus
