Emory Healthcare EMS is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Quick Response Team. The successful candidate will be highly proactive and self-driven to respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency 911 calls and provide critical care transports. This role demands leadership, collaboration, quick decision-making, outstanding clinical skills, and the ability to operate efficiently in diverse environments. Primary duties and responsibilities: Emergency Response & Patient Care: 1. Respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency 911 calls in Houston County, GA, and surrounding areas. 2. Provide advanced pre-hospital assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients in various settings. 3. Ensure safe and efficient care during transfer of critically ill or injured patients to designated medical facilities. 4. Demonstrate proficiency in airway management, IV therapy, advanced cardiac life support, and other critical care procedures. Operations & Equipment: 1. Operate and maintain emergency response vehicles, always ensuring readiness. Documentation & Communication: 1. Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient care and transport activities. 2. Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical teams, and receiving facilities. Compliance and Professional Standards: 1. Adhere to all EMS policies, procedures, and safety protocols. 2. Engage in continuous education and skills development to stay current with industry standards. Travel: Some Travel between Operating Units Work Type: On-site - Works in the office or at a physical workplace, interacting with colleagues face-to-face II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Completion of a vocational training program as a Paramedic. B. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paramedic, preferably with critical care and 911 background. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Valid Georgia Paramedic License with current state licensure. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification. AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire. CPT training within 9 months of hire. FAST-ED stroke scale or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Critical Care Paramedic (CC-P) or Flight Paramedic (FP-C) within 3 months of hire. D.
