NYC Metro Area established residential developer/builder has an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to work on general commercial real estate matters and provide support to the Commercial Real Estate practice area. Requirements

  • Strong comprehension, drafting and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Extremely organized, with excellent follow through and a self-starter mindset
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-5 years+ of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in affordable housing, community development or urban real estate a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Real estate transaction management: participate in transactions and contribute administratively and substantively. Coordinate organizational documents, entity, bankruptcy, judgment and violations search process. Including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, construction, property management and regulatory matters.
  • Contribute to transactional, entity, and litigation management responsibilities of the Legal Department
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize legal documents and agreements under the direction of an L+M attorney and work to secure appropriate approvals.
  • Conduct legal research
  • Draft correspondence and legal memoranda
  • Able to set up and maintain tracking systems
