Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity in the Seattle or Portland office for a Public Finance Paralegal. Working under the supervision of attorneys, Paralegals support the delivery of quality legal services to clients by performing tasks that require accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency. Paralegals are primarily responsible for the coordination of the document flow and activities of the financing team that are to be directed by Orrick in the area of Public Finance. Responsibilities include facilitating a wide array of tasks, including preparation of initial document drafts, facilitating review of and coordinating responses from Orrick to third-party documents, coordinating issuer approvals and ensuring that procedural and statutory requirements of governing bodies are met (such as review of and assistance with submission of staff reports, compiling agenda packets, publications, and coordination of meetings), and taking on the management of the transaction mechanics so that attorneys can focus on major legal issues, negotiation of business terms, financing strategy and business development. We prefer that our Public Finance professionals be physically present in the office at least three days per week
