Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Public Finance Paralegal in the San Francisco office. What Will I do: Working under the supervision of attorneys, the Paralegal will support the delivery of quality legal services to clients by performing tasks that require accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong written and oral communication skills and computer proficiency. The Paralegal will be primarily responsible for the coordination of the document flow and activities of the financing team that are to be directed by Orrick in the area of Public Finance. Responsibilities include facilitating a wide array of tasks, including preparation of initial document drafts, facilitating review of and coordinating responses from Orrick to third-party documents, coordinating issuer approvals, filing forms and taking on the management of the transaction mechanics so that attorneys can focus on major legal issues, negotiation of business terms, financing strategy and business development. The Paralegal is expected, once assigned to a transaction, to stay with it from beginning to end. In the case of clients who engage in multiple transactions, the Paralegal may be assigned to all transactions of that client in the future, necessitating that the Paralegal get to know clients and their staff, and be a key resource and focal point for the entire financing team. In many transactions, the Paralegal will have as much time invested as the primary attorney on the deal.
