About The Position

Clyde & Co is seeking an experienced paralegal with 5+ years of experience to support our Liability & Excess Coverage practice group. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience is preferred for this position. We will consider Senior Paralegal title for those with substantial experience.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel).
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Court websites.
  • Well-developed organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information.
  • Ability to gracefully work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adapts well to changes in workload.
  • Willing and able to learn new software.
  • Intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a busy caseload.
  • Triage and sort e-mail inbox to open new matters.
  • Draft, update and maintain spreadsheets to track status of cases.
  • Assisting in document review, organization, and production.
  • Liaise with clients regarding status of claims, potential claims, and coverage letters.
  • Finalize and send coverage letters.
  • Monitor state and federal court dockets and forecast possible upcoming claims.
