About The Position

Assist with billing, invoicing, and budget tracking for legal services. Track receipt of public record request and responses, and appeals and responses Coordinate with GDC personnel on the collection of data and documents responsive to document requests. Review responsive documents, identify information to be redacted based upon exceptions under applicable law, in coordination with parties to such documents or having privilege rights, and application of redactions. Prepare responses to requests for records in consultation with attorneys. Draft responses to appeal in consultation with attorneys. Coordinate with others on the scheduling of meetings with Commissioners. Prepare draft minutes for Board meetings and Committee meetings in consultation with attorneys. Track compliance obligations under federal and state laws, communicate to affected officers and employees compliance responsibilities, and maintain records related to satisfactory completion of compliance obligations. Track compliance obligations under GDC contracts, communicate to affected staff compliance responsibilities, and maintain records related to satisfactory completion of such obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience with contract administration, public procurement, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
