Under general direction from the Sr, Paralegal, the Paralegal I will work closely with attorneys, dental professionals, operations leaders and administrative support staff to provide legal, administrative and related support integral to the organization's operations. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert for transactions, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, term letters, tender letters, promissory notes and/or corporate filings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in the related field, paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program. In lieu of degree, 5+ years’ of experience is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
+4 years’ legal and transactional experience in a large corporate setting or law firm.
Experience in drafting corporate legal instruments, filing documents with state and federal agencies, and handling licensing and maintenance of entities.
Basic understanding of or familiarity with corporate entities and partnership terminology and structure.
Strong data/internet research and written and verbal communication skills. High energy and enthusiasm; ability to take initiative and make suggestions or volunteer ideas for improving overall department or individual productivity.
Problem solving skills to gather and analyze information in order to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Planning/organizing of effective prioritization skills, and uses time efficiently to develops realistic action plans.
Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Detail oriented, organized, process focused, problem solver, proactive, ambitious, customer service focused.
Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from field personnel, internal staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community.

Familiarity with Salesforce, Box, Apttus, X-Author and/or Workshare Professional.

Responsibilities

Prepare, manage and facilitate legal/transactional documents and agreements for attorney review and approval by identifying forms and formats, producing text and proofreading.
Provide information and support to the field for dentists, specialty dentists and registered dental hygienists.
Accept service and review subpoenas and other court documents served at NSC. Transmit to the proper department, National Support Center personnel or field personnel in a timely manner. For employment record subpoenas, compile and respond after reviewing and redacting sensitive information in HR and payroll records.
Manage files and documents, includes coordinating with executives, operations partners, field personnel, dental practice owners, compiling supporting documentation/records, tracking and expediting transaction completion.
Assist Recruiting with Salesforce and Apttus.
Perform research as assigned by attorneys or management.
Act as a liaison with the organization's management, other internal clients and outside counsel.
Other duties as assigned by management.
